The Village Hall will be closed Monday, October 12 in observance of Columbus Day
Trick-or-Treating in the Village of Warrensburg will be from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. There will not be a parade, costume judging or festivities at the Fire Department this year. Residents who don’t feel comfortable having trick-or-treating at their home, should leave their porch light off.
The Village Hall will be open on November 3, 2020 as a polling place for the General Election. Social Distancing protocols will be required.
Since the leaves will be falling before long, this is a reminder that open burning of landscape waste is permitted in the Village but only: Between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and sunset, and when there is sufficient air movement to dissipate the contaminants but not when winds would constitute a hazard of airborne sparks which could spread fires. Burning is only permitted on the premises on which such waste is generated and must be constantly attended by a responsible person until such burning is extinguished. Burning should not create a visibility hazard on streets, alleys, public sidewalks, railroad tracks or open fields. No chemically treated materials can be burned within Village limits. Burning should not be done in or near culverts which could restrict rainwater flow.
