The Village Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in observance of Veteran’s Day.
The Village Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 for Thanksgiving.
Now in it’s 32nd year, the W-L Lion’s Club Brotherhood Tree is seeking your partnership for those families who may need assistance this holiday season.
The Barclay Public Library and the Village Hall will be collecting gifts/toys for ages 0 – 17, which will be delivered to those families. Gifts purchased at Dollar General may be left there & will be included in the collection. The Library will provide contactless porch delivery December 22 & 23.
Names of those needing assistance should be submitted to Pat Bales (217.855.4700) by December 8 and the last day for toy donations will be December 18.
The W-L Lion’s Club, chartered in 1958, is the sole service club organization representing the W-L School District. Members are men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs. Meetings are held the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month at Illini Park in Warrensburg. If you are interested in being a part of this group and would like more information, contact Gloria Lowery, Membership Chairperson (217.855.0545).
The Village will be holding a Christmas Lighting contest this year. More details are forthcoming. If you are interested in being a judge, please contact Chief Wheeler. Entry forms will be available at the Village Hall and you can sign up either in person or by calling the Hall at 217-672-3222 during regular business hours.
