January and February 2024

The gathering for the contest announcement of winners was on Wednesday, December 20 and the contest winners were announced. First place was 385 W Henson, Second place was 128 S Roosevelt and Third place was 485 N State Route 121. Congratulations to these homes as well as the others who were entered in the contest. It was nice to see so many homes “decked out” for the holidays.
Special thanks to those who assisted with the judging. With the assistance of Auxiliary Officer Tate, Santa was able to spend a few minutes with those who attended the gathering, arriving with lights and sirens so he could make a quick visit, before returning to finish up his preparations for Christmas Eve.

W-L Brotherhood Tree
The W-L Brotherhood Tree was able to be of assistance to approximately 23 families this year and provide not only food gift cards for the family but Christmas gifts to 54 children in the W-L School District.
THANK YOU Warrensburg for supporting this project year after year. Your toys, games and gift cards for the children as well as the monetary gifts to assist with any costs were greatly appreciated.
The W-L Lions Club meets the first and third Thursdays of the month at Noon in the Illini Park Pavilion. Chartered in January 1958, it is the sole service club organization representing the W-L School District. The Club is comprised of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.

A Representative from State Senator Sally Turner’s office will hold office hours at the Village Hall on February 20, March 4 and March 19 from Noon to 2 PM. Please feel free to stop by to chat.
