The grace period will come to an end on February 27, 2021 for making telephone calls without including an area code. Please make sure any calls you have programmed into your telephone have been changed to include the area code.
As of March 27, 2021, new lines of service may be issued number with the 448 area code. Remember these numbers will still be in our area.
911, 411, 211 and any other 3-digit services in this area will still be reached with just those 3 digits.
Ham & Beans and Cornbread
There will be a Ham & Beans and Cornbread Fundraiser for the Corn Festival
on Saturday, March 13 from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm, while supplies last.
You will be able to drive through behind the Village Hall, pick up your Ham & Beans,
Cornbread and purchase 50/50 tickets (6 for $5). Donations will be accepted for
the Ham & Beans and Cornbread.
With Spring just around the corner, remember it is unlawful for any person to own, keep or harbor a dog or cat without first having obtained a license to do so. An application for registration/tag may be obtained at the Village Hall. The fee for each tag is $1.00.
Also, it shall be unlawful for the owner or keeper of any dog, cat or other animal to permit the same to defecate on any public street, alley, parkway, public place, unenclosed place with the Village or on any private premises other than the private premises of the owner or keeper. It shall not be construed to be unlawful, if immediately upon occurrence, the owner or keeper removes the defecation in a bag, sack or other sealable container to the owner’s or keeper’s premises or deposits the same in a garbage or trash receptacle.
Golf Carts/Neighborhood Vehicles
It is lawful to operate a golf cart or neighborhood vehicle on the Village streets. The operator must be at least 18 yrs. old & have a valid driver’s license.
A license issued by the Village is required using forms provided by the Village. The registration fee is $20.00 per year and is issued by the Chief of Police after an inspection of the vehicle.
Motorized scooters, mini-bikes & motorized toy vehicles are not permitted on the streets within the Village.
For those individual who currently have their golf cart/neighborhood vehicle registered with the Village, a renewal notice will be sent to them in the next month or so.
The Spring election for many county/local offices will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 with the polling place for Warrensburg at the Village Hall.

A.C.T.S., LLC internet is coming to Warrensburg. The Village has approved a site lease agreement and a franchise agreement with Brandon Rarick, owner of A.C.T.S. services. A.C.T.S. is a family owned internet service company based out of Moweaqua IL.
